OUT OF OFFICE CURATED

Travel For The Intentionally Curious

Happy Tuesday Reader!

We are now in my favorite travel season, shoulder and leaf-peeping season. Fall is here, and I am grateful for the break from the 90+ degree weather in Los Angeles.

I lived vicariously through the travel I planned for clients to cooler climates–Scotland, Iceland, Finland, and Switzerland. Helsinki remains on my bucket list, and now added to it is the tour I shared with my clients that took you into the Finnish woods to feed reindeer. (You never know what is available until you ask a travel advisor for destination research help.)

Montreal Guide

My next trip is to Montreal to see some fall colors, wander the streets in sweaters, and gorge myself on the last of the sweet corn–which I can’t get in L.A. I will be there on the last day of Montreal Pop Fest and can't wait to check out some bands and do some record shopping.

If you missed out on your European fall trip because summer sped by or flight costs were out of reach, I strongly recommend Montreal. Here, money stretches farther, people jump in and out of English and French mid-sentence, and the food & cocktail scene is stellar.

I am becoming a bit of a Montreal hotel expert–I’ve stayed at LHotel, Vogue, Renaissance Hotel Centre-Ville, InterContinental Montreal, and Hyatt Centric. This trip, I am splitting between an iconic Canadian hotelier and a Michelin Key Boutique hotel. From budget-friendly finds to five-star properties, I can find you the right hotel for you based on your vibe and what you want to spend (I also have some hot takes on hotels to avoid)

Due to my Montreal visit, I will be out of the office 9/26-9/30.

A favor

As a small business, more doors open to me when I have engagement on my platforms. I’ve finally found a non-Amazon way to make a little side cash on the things I recommend to my clients every trip–the universal adapter I personally use, the sleep mask I can’t travel without, and how I do laundry without cutting into my liquid allowance. I also won’t need to install any pop-ups, banners, or other little annoyances that prevent you from getting to the travel information on my website, KRISTENFUNGTRAVELS.COM

New Partnership!

Well, kind of. The agency I work with has been an affiliate partner with Viator — the company with the largest selection of local tour guides —for as long as I have been a travel advisor; now the relationship is more concrete, with more support for all your bookings.
