When I sat down to write this newsletter, I was scrolling through one of the many feeds I read for travel industry news and came across an infographic comparing how hotels think travelers book vs. how they actually book.

The average traveler has 45 steps before they book.

There is 1. The Reel they see from friends or someone they follow. 2. The multiple AI searches (How to get there, what to do). 3. The Reddit message boards about how good the food is, is the pool really that color? YouTube, TripAdvisor, etc.

You know the drill, because that's what you do.

I thought this was a good overview of the invisible work that goes into planning a vacation and the work travel advisors do on behalf of their clients. (BTW I do steps 2-44 for you)

If I were you, this is what we should work on together now

1. I would put all of your airfare alerts on for the holidays. Contact me if you want to do Christmas markets in Germany.
2. It is literary season in Paris September through November This is a great time to be in the city if you are a book lover.
3. Traveling to Europe in the cooler seasons. If you can go to Italy in the spring, let's plan to avoid the heat and crowds.
